There was definitely something missing in Neumarkt in the Upper Palatinate in Bavaria, but since 2022, there has also been a magazine here that is entirely dedicated to the big topic of wedding organization — Regio dream wedding.
Regio dream wedding acts as a comprehensive guide for wedding planning in towns and communities in the region, including Neumarkt, Altdorf, Freystadt, Postbauer-Heng, Roth-Hilpoltstein, Berching and Beilngries.
The team behind Regio dream wedding has set itself the goal of providing everyone at the altar with comprehensive information on the latest trends and developments relating to marriage.
In the first issue of the magazine 2022, I had the opportunity to talk to Katharina Velling from Regio Traumhochzeit in an interview about my experiences in finding the perfect wedding band and about dos and don'ts. Dear Katharina, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you once again for the great conversation and wish you continued success with hopefully many more upcoming issues of your outstanding magazine.
At the end of this interview, you will also find a download link for the entire first issue of Regio dream wedding — the ultimate magazine for wedding planning.
Just for information: the abbreviation RTH stands for Regio dream wedding and AD for Alexander Dressler.
I hope you enjoy reading!
RTH: Why is proudleut.com the right platform and why are you the right partner to find the dream band for our readers' dream wedding?
AD: On proudleut.com, you quickly get a first coherent impression and a feeling for bands in the surrounding area, including the fees. I would like to quote a bride who found her wedding band on our platform: “Your PROUDLEUT page was recommended to me and I think it's great that you get an amazing overview of our band landscape there in such a short time! “I play at many weddings with my own bands. In addition, my band network has grown a lot in terms of weddings over the last two decades. So if the band search is more annoying and time-consuming and the many band information, fee levels, availabilities cause more confusion than help, I can help you find the right band.
RTH: What specific basic and additional services do you offer our bridal couples?
AD: Thanks to my experience as a service provider and musician in the wedding industry, I can answer many questions that arise when starting a band search and thus set a rough first corner frame. In consultation with the bridal couple, I can request bands for the wedding date. After a certain period of time, the bridal couple will receive an overview of the available bands from me with “Gut tut, was gefällt.” Wedding band search & find all important information on proudleut.com, such as payment overview, contact and band information, etc.
RTH: Wedding bands should often not only play the right repertoire for the party, but should also be able to host and guide you through the event — all day long into the night. How do you find the ideal band for your customers?
AD: During the first conversation, I quickly get a picture of the band with which to celebrate. Moderating or being able to lead the day therefore does not necessarily have to be in the foreground. It is important for me to understand the wishes. In other words, during the initial consultation, it is important to ask the right questions, such as whether a bridal forgiveness is desired or a party band with more Bavarian roots is being sought, how high the budget is and much more.
RTH: What criteria does a band have to meet in order to qualify as a wedding band?
AD: The band must be able to identify with the theme of “wedding.” Without a doubt, you have to master your musical craft. But at a wedding, it is more important to see yourself as a service provider who helps bridal couples and guests to have a wonderful day. Once this is the case, the basis for a good wedding band is laid.
RTH: What questions should the bridal couple ideally have answered before contacting you?
AD: For example, it would be important to know whether it should be a DJ or a band, how much the budget is roughly estimated and, of course, the question: Are we looking for a band for the party in the evening or for the entire wedding day?
RTH: In the months before the wedding, when is the right time to get in touch with you and start looking for a band?
AD: It feels like you should ask a band at least a year before the wedding. For me, the location and the wedding band are among the first things I would fix.
RTH: Countryside weddings are all the rage in our region right now. Boho chic is the order of the day when it comes to decoration and styling. Are there also trends in music for the festival that you can observe as an insider?
AD: Basically, when selecting bands/music, the following applies: Do what you like. Don't let yourself be influenced too much by third parties or current trends.
Make a contract with the band. Even though it feels weird. This is the only way for everyone to be sure that the wedding day will actually be celebrated together. Found a dream band? Then go through the wedding process together some time before your wedding date. This is the only way to have the same understanding on day X and avoid surprises.
